A grape variety hailing from the coastal region of Galicia in the north western corner of Spain, Albariño has become so popular there that it accounts for the majority of white varietal plantings and is considered by many to be the country's premier white (and almost certainly its most expensive). The free run juice for this wine was fermented between 13 and 14°C to capture vibrant fresh fruit characters. Following ferment the wine was left on lees for five months with occasional stirring of the lees to encourage a rich mouthfeel.

An excellent, full bodied example.

Bright pale gold colour with straw hue. Exotic, lifted nose of paw paw, mango, kiwi fruit and ripe pear. Generous mouthfeel with flavours of ripe paw paw and pear, with a hint of citrus in the background. Very spicy aftertaste of paw paw and citrus.
Cellar 2-3 years (2011-2012)
Alc/Vol: 13.0%
