2008 Trivento Reserve Cabernet Malbec

Matured in French oak for 8 months. Opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. The nose shows impressive intensity with ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and liquorice scents followed by some dark chocolate and subtle spicy earth end notes. Medium to full bodied succulent ripe blackcurrant and black cherry flavours are to the fore but tend to dry out a tad towards the finish with liquorice and spicy earth flavours following. Slightly dryish and chalky tannins with an aftertaste of black cherries, subtle liquorice and spicy earth.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
