Mick Cann is one of Heathcote’s top winemakers but doesn’t get a lot of publicity due to the fact that he makes miniscule quantities. 2008 was no exception with yields restricted to an extremely low 1 tonne per acre due to the on going drought resulting in very concentrated high quality fruit. Maturation took place in a combination of French, Russian & American oak hogsheads.

Liquid dynamite!

Dense super saturated opaque black colour with deep black dark red hue showing excellent glass cling. Ripe plum, liquorice allsorts, ripe blackberry and vanillin dark chocolate aromas leap out of the glass delivering a nose of great intensity. The palate is a Shiraz concentrate possessing enormous weight and super rich flavours of liquorice allsorts, black plum, ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and vanilla with some blackpepper on the finish. Opulently textured with velvet smooth tannins and long aftertaste of dark plum, blackberry, liquorice, vanilla and blackpepper. Drink over the next 3-4 years (2013-2014)
Alc 16.0%
