2008 St. Hallett Blackwell Shiraz

Stuart Blackwell continues his run of top form with another outstanding Blackwell Shiraz.
This year's release was matured for 20 months in American oak. Magnifcent saturated opaque black crimson colour with black heart and very deep black crimson hue with excellent glass cling. Perfumed aromas with top notes of blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and vanilla followed by some liquorice allsorts and confectionary – a superb sniff. The palate boasts opulent mouthflling palate favours of blackberry juice, black plum, liquorice allsorts and confectionary. Excellent depth. Very fne grained perfectly integrated tannins with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and blackpepper.
