2008 Reschke Vitulus Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Renowned, Coonawarra winemaker Peter Douglas has crafted an excellent Cabernet Sauvignon from the outstanding 2008 vintage. Maturation took place in 25% first use French oak hogsheads and 75% second use and older French and American oak barriques and hogsheads for a period of 24 months.

Totally opaque, black, dark crimson red colour with dark, crimson red hue. The nose displays perfumed aromas of cassis, blackcurrant and dark chocolate followed by some cedary vanillin oak and spice. The palate displays good richness and is filled with fully ripened Cabernet flavours of dark chocolate, ripe blackcurrant, cedary vanillin oak and spice. Very fine grained, velvet like tannins. Long, ripe blackcurrant, dark chocolate and spicy cedar aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years (2014-2015)
