2008 Reilly's Barking Mad Riesling

2008 is looking like a great Riesling vintage, with all early release examples showing superb aromatics and excellent acidity. Bright straw colour with green tinge. Top note of lime followed by lemon with spice and lime notes being dominant. The palate reveals flavours of lemon, lime and tropical fruit over a layer of unripe pineapple, showing excellent varietal character. Crisp acid backbone, with pronounced but balanced acidity. Aftertaste of lime, tropical fruit and pineapple.
