David O’Leary and Nick Walker combine a wealth of winemaking experience having been behind many well know labels such as Krondorf, Hardy’s, Yellowglen & Annie’s Lane during their careers. The two winemakers regard the 2008 Shiraz as one of their best yet, reminiscent of the 2002 & 2006 wines.

Another big joosy Shiraz from O’Leary Walker that super
over delivers at it’s price point.

A blend of 70% Clare Valley and 30% McLaren Vale fruit. Totally opaque black dark red colour with very deep black dark red hue. The nose displays good intensity with lifted aromas of blackberry, liquorice and confectionary. Opulent rich, ripe palate flavours that are totally mouthfilling in typical O’Leary Walker style. Very ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum are followed by some spice and blackpepper. Very fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of liquorice, blackpepper and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2010-2014)

Other Reviews….
Dark crimson-purple; the bouquet immediately signals the synergy of the blend, a message reinforced by the medium- to full-bodied palate; the black fruits and a touch of licorice inhabit the mid-palate, before a delicious juicy and spicy twist on the finish. Screwcap.
