2008 Mitolo Jester Shiraz

Jester Shiraz is named after Richard Tarlton who was a favourite amongst the Jesters to Queen Elizabeth 1. Aged in the same barrels (2-4 year old French oak) in which Mitolo’s flagship GAM Shiraz is previously matured in for 9 months.

Totally opaque, black crimson colour with deep, black dark red hue. The nose displays lifted notes of liquorice, ripe blackberry and dark plum with some dark chocolate overtones. Full bodied with a plump, fleshy mouthfeel the palate delivers generous flavours of ripe blackberry and liquorice followed by some confectionary and spice. Fine grained tannins. Excellent length with long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015)
