2008 Maverick Old Ben Shiraz

Produced from 90 year old Shiraz vines this wine displays a totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of dark ripe plum, liquorice, dark chocolate and vanilla. Rich and full bodied the palate delivers opulent flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum followed by some vanillin spice characters. Soft velvety tannins with long liquorice, dark chocolate, dark plum and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2014-2015).
