2008 Mahi Pinot Noir

The fruit has undergone a wild ferment, with the finished wine maturing in oak for 10 months. Medium body, crimson brick red colour with crimson hue. The nose displays strong varietal character with perfumed top note of violets, followed by black cherry, strawberry jam, truffle and spice. Moderate power wave – The palate flavour profile does not follow the complexity of the nose. Flavours of spice and dark cherry with a hint of anise on the back palate. Dryish tannins. Aftertaste of dark cherry and spice.
