2008 Luchador Gigante Shiraz

The Luchador wines packaging is inspired by a Mexican wrestler theme and are a project of Chris Ringland. Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep black crimson hue. Perfumed aromas of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and vanilla. Full bodied, opulent and rich the palate bares more resemblance to Andre the Giant than an agile Luchador wrestler. Concentrated flavours of aniseed, confectionary, blackberry and spice. Very fine grained soft tannins with long aftertaste of aniseed, liquorice and confectionary.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014)

The 2008 Luchador Shiraz was partially (70%) aged in seasoned American oak hogsheads, the balance in tank. A saturated purple color, it delivers an expressive nose of smoke, scorched earth, smoked meat, espresso, and blueberry. Full-bodied and layered on the palate, it has superior depth, grip, and loads of flavor. Drink this super value over the next 8 years.
