The Limestone Ridge Vineyard in Coonawarra was planted in 1967 and is named so because it is located directly above a ridge of limestone which forms the 'backbone' of Coonawarra's famous Terra Rossa soil. A blend of 72% Shiraz 28% Cabernet Sauvignon the wine was matured for 18 months in predominantly new American oak hogsheads, with the remainder in seasoned French oak.

Winner of 4 trophies including the Max Schubert Trophy at the 2010 Royal Adelaide Wine Show.

Once again, like the previous two Lindemans wines before it, the Limestone Ridge displays an outstanding colour profile of opaque, black crimson with very deep, black, dark crimson red hue. Aromas of dark chocolate, blackcurrant and liquorice are followed by some spice along with a touch of mint as an end note. Full bodied and rich, the palate boasts an abundance of perfectly ripened Coonawarra fruit. Mouthfilling flavours of blackberry and blackcurrant followed by liquorice and dark plum with some spice on the back palate. Very fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of blackberry, blackcurrant, liquorice and spice.

Deep purple-crimson; a particularly luscious and rich Limestone Ridge, flush with blackcurrant, blackberry and licorice fruit, the full-bodied palate weaving positive oak and ripe tannins into its excellent texture. Screwcap.
