2008 Les Fusionels Intemporelle Faugeres

Produced from a blend of 45% Syrah, 26% Carignan, 15% Mourvedre and 14% Grenache the wine was matured for 12 months in French oak with 18% being new. Opaque black dark red purple colour with deep dark red purple hue. Aromas of black raspberry followed by some meaty liquorice like characters and spice. Like the 2007 vintage the palate delivers excellent richness and weight with flavours of liquorice, spice, black raspberry followed by some meaty blackpepper. Fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of spicy black raspberry, liquorice and blackpepper.
Cellar 4-5 years (2015-2016).
