2008 Leayton Estate Chardonnay

Hand picked from 11 year old vines the wine was fermented in new and older French oak barrels and bottled after 9 months. Bright straw colour with pale gold, greenish tinge on the edges and very pale straw hue. Lifted aromas of white peach, nougat, spice and toast. Medium weight with flavours of white peach, biscuit and cashew with a spicy, dry finish. Aftertaste of white peach, spice and cashew.
Cellar 2-3 years (2012-2013).
