Situated on the Bremer Flood plain at Langhorne Creek this superb Langhorne Creek Cabernet was produced from the Follett family’s 40 year old vines. Traditional open fermentation was employed followed by maturation in 70% French and 30% American oak barriques for 20 months, prior to bottling.

A top effort from this ever reliable Langhorne Creek producer.

Totally opaque, black dark purple red colour with very deep, dark purple red hue. The nose delivers aromas of ripe blackcurrant along with that familiar Langhorne Creek minty quality as top notes, followed by some cedar and spice. Full bodied, the palate is quite generous and rich with mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackcurrant, cassis and liquorice followed by some cedar and a spicy back palate. Opulent mouthfeel with very fine grained, well integrated tannins. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, liquorice and some spearmint.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2016)
