Deep crimson red mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose is a little subdued with delicate aromas of plum, spice and cherry. Light to medium body weight with soft fruity palate flavours of cherry, inky plum and spice with a dry finish. Fine grained dryish tannins with aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and dried meat.

A strong effort, the 2008 La Vieille Ferme Cotes du Ventoux red exhibits excellent ripeness as well as plenty of cherry fruit intermixed with hints of dusty, earthy, peppery notes. Round and delicious, it, too, should be drunk during it’s first year of life.
