2008 Kay Brothers Amery Vineyards The Cuthbert Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 2 years in new Hungarian and Bulgarian oak barrels. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays perfumed scents of ripe blackcurrant, toasty mocha like characters, dark ripe plum and spice. Big, concentrated and quite voluptuous in texture the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackcurrant and dark chocolate followed by some toasty vanilla characters and spice. Very fine grained tannins with supple mouthfeel. Excellent depth with long aftertaste of dark chocolate, ripe dark plum, toasty mocha and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2016).
