2008 Kaesler Old Bastard Shiraz

A big rich, spicy Old Bastard.
Totally opaque black purple colour with black heart and very deep black crimson hue showing superb colour saturation. Intense aromas of ripe blackberry, liquorice and black plum followed by some confectionary and spice end notes. Dense, powerful and extravagantly rich, the palate is a Shiraz concentrate with mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice, confectionary and vanilla followed by some spice and toast on the back palate. Fine grained tannins. Excellent length with long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry, toast and spice. Cellar 4-5 years. Alc 16.5%
