Cellar: Drink now - 4 Years (2010-2014)
ABV: 14.5%
Closure: Screw Cap

A superb blend of 52% Shiraz, 26% Grenache and 22% Mourvedre that was matured for 16 months in mostly older French oak with 10% being new.

Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose delivers perfumed aromas of liquorice, mocha, blackberry, confectionary and a vanillin end note. Full bodied with a plumb, soft, fleshy texture the palate displays flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate followed by some confectionary and spice on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins with long blackberry, liquorice, mocha and spice aftertaste.

Purple-red; Barossa Valley blends of Shiraz/Grenache/Mourvedre seldom have the poise, conviction or richness of this wine; the flavours are multilayered yet not the least jammy, the tannins particularly good, the length all one can ask for. Screwcap.
