2008 Jim Barry The Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon

51% of this wine is sourced from the Clare Valley with balance coming from Jim Barry’s Coonawarra vineyard. Maturation took place in a combination of 50% American and 50% French oak for 12 months.

Totally opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays aromas of blackcurrant, mint and cedar followed by a hint of liquorice showing good lift. Generous palate favours of blackcurrant, spearmint and cedar followed by a very spicy back palate. Firmish, slightly chalky but balanced tannins with long aftertaste of spearmint, blackcurrant and spicy cedar.
