This is another excellent Clare Riesling from the outstanding 2008 vintage.

Jeanneret Wines began under fairly unusual circumstances when Denis Jeanneret, a Swiss chemist and his wife Patricia moved to Sevenhill in the Clare Valley, South Australia. Denis decided he’d have a go at self sufficiency, and as it turned out, he was very good at making his own wine! Jeanneret Wines was created in 1992 and has been continued by son, Ben, who maintains a non-interventionist approach, encouraging wild ferments and minimal juice handling.
Bright pale straw colour with a greenish tinge and watery hue. The nose is dominated by aromas of lime and citrus with some orange blossom and tropical fruit background notes. The palate displays good weight and mouthfeel with limey citrus flavours followed by some tropical fruit and orange rind with good underlying minerality. Clean crisp lively finish with long lime, citrus and orange rind aftertaste. An excellent match with freshly shucked oysters.
Drink now or cellar 4-5 years for further development.
Alc/Vol: 12.5%
