2008 Henschke Keyneton Euphonium Dry Red

The 2008 Henschke Euphonium has been produced from a blend of 75% Shiraz, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. Maturation took place in a combination of 30% new, 70% seasoned French and American oak hogsheads for 18 months.

Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. Liquorice allsorts top notes are followed by some confectionary, dark chocolate, vanilla and spice notes showing excellent lift. Soft, round and fleshy the palate displays flavours of dark chocolate, liquorice allsorts and spice followed by some dark plum. Velvet smooth tannins along with a silky mouthfeel are followed by a long aftertaste of dark chocolate, dark plums and spice.
