2008 Heggies Chardonnay

Fermented & matured for 11 months in French oak barriques of which 33% were new, 26% one year old with the balance in older French oak barriques & Hogsheads.

Bright straw pale gold colour with pale straw hue. The nose displays excellent barrel ferment characters with aromas of spicy toasted oak, cashews, white peach and fig. The palate displays refinement but still possesses good weight – flavours of spice, roast almonds, light butterscotch and cashews followed by a hint of hazelnut. Almost creamy texture with clean dry finish and long aftertaste of spicy cashew and roasted nuts.
Cellar 2-3 years.
