2008 Gioiello Estate Cabernet Merlot

Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques the wine displays a deep dark red colour with brick red hue. The nose exhibits aromas of ripe mulberry, plum, spice and a hint of cedar. Medium bodied the palate delivers flavours of blackcurrant, ripe mulberry and spicy cedar. Slightly dryish and chewy tannins with aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014)
