A grape variety hailing from the coastal region of Galicia in the north western corner of Spain, Albariño has become so popular there that it accounts for the majority of white varietal plantings and is considered by many to be the country's premier white (and almost certainly its most expensive). In Galicia the variety enjoys warm days, cold nights and the maritime influence of the nearby Atlantic, (perfect for retaining the natural acidity of the variety) very similar to McLaren Vale.

Not surprisingly, Gemtree have managed to produce
an excellent example of full bodied Albariño.

Bright pale straw colour with water like hue, showing its youth. Top note of tropical fruit, followed by a hint of pear, subtle cantaloupe and ripe apple. Full bodied palate – with flavours of apple, pear and cantaloupe. Clean finish. Aftertaste of apple, pear, cantaloupe and tropical fruit.
