Opaque black crimson colour with dark red hue. Maturation took place in a combination of American and French oak barriques, of which 40% were new, for a period of 14 months. The nose displays lifted aromas of confectionary, dark chocolate, liquorice and dark plum with a hint of vanilla as an end note showing strong varietal character and good intensity. Medium to full bodied with generous flavours of ripe blackberry, dark plum, confectionary, chocolate and spice. Super fine grained tannins almost velvet like with long aftertaste of blackberry, dark chocolate and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years (2013-2014).
Alc 14.3%

Other Reviews….
Bright hue of moderate depth; a fragrant bouquet of red and black fruits, then a delicious, silky palate with lively fruit flavours and well integrated and balanced (40% new) oak. MC stands for multi clone, not maceration carbonique. Screwcap.
