2008 Deutz Blanc de Blancs Champagne

An Outstanding Blanc de Blancs Champagne combining richness, finesse and complexity.

Pours well with a white creamy mousse that has good staying power. Pale straw base wine colour with a very fine and persistent bead. A superb sniff the nose reveals notes of brioche and yeast lees intermixed with some light pear followed by cashew and a hint of toast. Refined and complex the palate has a light airy, slightly creamy textural feel delivering mouthfilling flavours of baked bread and rich yeast lees over subtle pears, cashew and toast on the fresh finish. Excellent length with a long conclusion of yeast lees, baked bread, cashew, subtle pear and faint toast.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
