2008 d'Arenberg The High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 12 months in a combination of new and older French and American oak barriques and large casks. Opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep black crimson hue. The nose displays lifted top notes of ripe blackcurrant followed by aniseed, black cherry and a spicy cedar end note. Medium to full bodied the palate displays a ripe flavour profile of blackcurrant, dark cherry and a touch of liquorice with a spicy back palate. Quite generous with fine grained tannin structure. Good length with aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark cherry and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015).
