2008 d'Arenberg The Galvo Garage Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Cabernet Franc Petit Verdot

A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot with maturation taking place in French oak barriques for 18 months. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. On the nose earthy blackcurrant aromas are to the fore followed by dark ripe cherry, cedar and spice. The palate delivers full bodied flavours of ripe blackcurrant and some mint followed by cedar, earth and spice. Firm, slightly grippy tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, mint, cedar, earth and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years.
