2008 Crabtree Hilltop Shiraz - Stocktake Sale Item

Sourced from 50 year old vines this wine was matured for a period of 18 months in a combination of older French and American oak. Opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays good lift with aromas of blackberry, liquorice, confectionary and a touch of spice. Full bodied yet displaying a sense of refinement with generous, but controlled flavours of liquorice and confectionary followed by some blackberry and blackpepper. Very good length and persistence. Fine grained well integrated tannins with long aftertaste of liquorice, confectionary and blackpepper.
Cellar 3-4 years ((2014-2015).
