2008 Coldstream Hills Merlot

Displaying an opaque dark crimson red black colour with deep dark crimson red hue this Merlot was matured in French oak (32% of which was new) for 16 months. The nose is very perfumed with lifted aromas of dark plum and dark chocolate followed by some underlying cedar and spice. Medium weight with a soft fleshy texture the palate delivers flavours of dark plum, ripe mulberry and dark chocolate followed by some cedar and spice. Very fine grained soft tannins with aftertaste of dark plum, chocolate and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
