Tasted single blind against its peers. The Rabaud-Promis appears to have changed little since last year, with crushed stone on a slightly earthier nose than I recall. The palate is very ripe and honeyed with tropical notes on the entry and an attractive viscous texture. The acidity appears a little more marked than earlier impressions, as if the style of the vintage is impinging itself more on the wine as it ages. Still, this is a decent, if unspectacular effort. Tasted January 2012.
