2008 Chateau de Citeaux Meursault Vieux Clos du Chateau de Citeaux Monopole

Brilliant straw colour with pale gold greenish tinged edges and pale straw hue. The nose on this Meursault shows a touch more lift than the ‘Les Grand Charrons’ but is still very refined. Aromas of delicate white peach, biscuit, spice, a touch of honeycomb and cashew. Medium bodied and elegant but with a touch more weight and richness than the ‘Les Grand Charrons’, the palate displays flavours of cashew, white peach and spice with a light honeycomb overlay and some cashew and spice re-emerging on the back palate. Clean dry finish with long aftertaste of cashew, spice and a touch of hazelnut.
Cellar 4-5 years (2014-2015).
