2008 Chateau de Citeaux Corton Bressandes Grand Cru

Semi translucent deep crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. A refined sniff the nose displays aromas of very dark cherry, violets, dark plum and spice followed by some game end notes. Light to medium weight the palate displays an elegant flavour profile of dark cherries, spice, cedar and dried meat but lacks the power wave one would expect from a Grand Cru. Fine grained, slightly dryish, but balanced tannins with aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and cedar.
NB – this wine was tasted from an opened bottle.
Cellar 4-5 years (2014-2015).
