A big voluptuous Grenache that was sourced from vines planted in 1926 and 1959 with maturation taking place in French oak hogsheads for 16 months.

Opaque dark red black colour with dark red hue. The nose displays lifted dark raspberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and vanillin confectionary aromas followed by some spicy end notes. Big and joosy the palate delivers voluptuous flavours of dark raspberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and vanillin confectionary followed by some spice on the back palate. Soft velvet like tannins. Excellent depth with long aftertaste of dark raspberry, chocolate liquorice bullets and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015)
