2008 Cat Amongst the Pigeons Alley Cat Shiraz Grenache

This is a successful Australian take on a French Southern Cotes du Rhone blend, composed of 57% Shiraz and 43% Grenache, a portion of the latter has been sourced from 120 year old vines. Opaque dark red black colour with dark red hue. Lifted aromas of ripe raspberry, confectionary, plum and spice. Medium to full bodied in weight with ripe, joosy flavours of blackberry, raspberry, liquorice and spice. Velvet smooth tannin structure with long aftertaste of plum, liquorice, spice and blackpepper. A soft, drink now red that delivers plenty of flavour.
Cellar 2-3 years (2012-2013).
