2008 Blue Poles Shiraz

This is the first vintage of Blue Poles Shiraz and it was matured in a combination of new and 1-2 year old French oak barrels for 18 months. Near opaque dark crimson red colour with dark crimson mauve hue. Aromas of liquorice allsorts, spice, confectionary and blackpepper showing good lift. Medium to full bodied palate with flavours of liquorice, blackberry and confectionary followed by some spice and blackpepper on the back palate. Fine grained structured tannins are well integrated. Aftertaste of liquorice, confectionary and blackpepper.
Cellar 4-5 years (2014-2015).
