2008 Balnaves of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 16 months in tight grained French oak. Opaque black crimson colour with very deep crimson black hue. Lifted aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, violets, spice and cedar – quite perfumed. Full bodied, the palate displays plenty of richness with flavours of cassis, blackcurrant and spice with a cedar overlay all encased by a fine grained firm and dry tannin structure. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice and cedar. A Coonawarra Cabernet with good structure that will repay 4-5 years cellaring (2014-2015)
