2008 Amancaya Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon

This blend of 70% Malbec and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon was matured for 12 months in French oak of which 25% was new and 75% second use.

An outstanding youthful blend that will only build complexity and get better with time.
Fantastic opaque purple black colour with purple black hue. A delightful sniff with perfumed aromas of violets, dark cherries, blackcurrant, liquorice and confectionary. Full bodied palate delivering dark rich concentrated black cherries, blackcurrant and cedar favours with some spice, earth and a hint of tobacco on the back palate. Fine grained, slightly dry tannins but in perfect balance to the volumes of fruit. Refned, yet powerful displaying great length and structure with long aftertaste of dark cherries, blackcurrant, earth and cedar.
