2008 Alana Estate Pinot Noir

The grapes for this wine were handpicked, sorted and 100% de-stemmed with the resultant wine being matured for 10 months in French oak and then bottled without fining or filtration.

Semi translucent crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. Perfumed aromas of violets, dark cherries, spice and cedar with a hint of anise as an end note. Excellent mouthfeel and power wave with flavours of black cherries, spice, anise and cedar with some meaty like characters on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannin structure, perfect balance, with long aftertaste of dark cherries and spice.
