The concept of blending Shiraz and Viognier is not new. It is derived from the great French wine region of Northern Rhone, in particular, the Côte Rôtie area. This wine was matured for 19 months in a combination of 20% new French oak hogsheads, 50% older French oak and 30% Hungarian oak hogsheads.

Opaque black purple colour with dark crimson hue. Aromas of dark plum, liquorice allsorts and confectionary with a hint of dried apricot as an end note. Big rich opulently textured palate with flavours of liquorice allsorts, spice and dark plum followed by some blackpepper on the back palate. Fine grained well balanced tannin structure. Very long aftertaste of liquorice allsorts, spice and blackpepper.
