2007 Torbreck The Pict Mataro

Tasted from an open bottle. Totally opaque black dark red colour with very deep brick red hue. The nose displays excellent intensity with lifted aromas of dark cherry, liquorice and very ripe black plum followed by some earthy leather and spice characters. Full bodied and richly textured the palate delivers an opulent round fruit profile of black plum and liquorice followed by some earthiness, leather and a spicy back palate. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent concentration and depth with long aftertaste of black plum, liquorice, earthy leather and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years (2016-2017).
