An outstanding Shiraz sourced from a single plot of Shiraz vines planted in 1960. After hand harvesting in late April the fruit was destemmed into two concrete vats where it spent seven days before being ‘gravity-drained’ and basket pressed. The juice was later racked into old French barriques where it completed a slow malo-lactic fermentation and an 18 month maturation.

Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue, showing excellent cling to the glass. Top note of violets, followed by fresh liquorice, vanilla and freshly crushed blackberries. Voluptuous mouthfeel, yet still holding its structural balance. Flavours of cedar, vanilla, blackberry and liquorice over a layer of black pepper. Mouthfilling flavours. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of black pepper, liquorice, blackberry, plum and vanilla.
Cellar 4-5 years (2013-2014)
Alc/Vol: 15.0%
