2007 Spinifex Taureau

Produced from a blend of 55% Tempranillo, 17% Carignan, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Graciano. Opaque dark purple red colour with dark crimson mauve hue. The nose is very perfumed displaying excellent intensity with aromas of black cherry and dark plum followed by some dark chocolate, spice and confectionary. Full bodied displaying generous ripe palate flavours of black cherry and spicy dark plum followed by spicy earth back palate flavours. Velvet smooth tannins with long aftertaste of spice, dark plum and blackpepper. An interesting, very well made blend.
