2007 RockBare Barossa Babe Shiraz

Matured for 2 years in French oak this Shiraz displays an opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays perfumed aromatics of dark plum, ripe blackberry and dark chocolate followed by some vanillin mocha like notes and spice. Rich voluptuous and opulently textured the palate delivers a mouthfilling flavour experience of ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and confectionary followed by some vanillin spice on the back palate. A velvet smooth tannin structure in tandem with the opulent levels of fruit give the wine a supple plush mouthfeel. Very long aftertaste of liquorice, dark chocolate, vanilla and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2016).
