2007 Reilly's Dry Land Old Bush Vine Grenache

This Grenache has had 24 months oak maturation. Opaque deep dark red colour with dark red hue. The nose displays aromas of spicy black raspberry and dark chocolate followed by some ripe dark plum and liquorice end notes. Full bodied and very rich. The palate delivers mouth filling flavours of black raspberry and spice along with some liquorice and dark chocolate characters. Very fine grained tannins with aftertaste of black raspberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and spice. There is also a touch of heat present on the finish. A big, rich, dense Grenache that is almost Shiraz-like in terms of its weight and texture.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
