2007 Rahona Valley Red Hill Reserve Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark crimson red mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose is slightly more reserved than the entry level Rahona Valley Pinot Noir displaying aromas of violets, dark cherry and spice followed by a hint of cedar. Palate flavours of black cherry, dark plum and very spicy underlying characters followed by violet infusions delivering excellent length. Fine grained well balanced tannin structure with spicy anise and black cherry aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2013-2014).
