2007 Pierrepoint George Shiraz

Matured for 2 years in French oak this cool climate Shiraz displays an opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of smoky plum, liquorice allsorts and spice with a hint of clove as an end note. Medium to full bodied the palate is quite generous and joosy in texture with flavours of blackberry, liquorice, smoky toasted cedar and pepper. Very fine grained soft tannin structure with aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, clove and peppery smoked meat.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
