2007 Perrin et Fils Reserve Cotes du Rhone

Produced from a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre this wine was matured for 12 months in a combination of tank (75%) and oak (25%). Deep crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose is quite perfumed with aromas of black cherry, ripe raspberry and confectionary with some cedar and just a touch of leather emerging as end notes. Medium bodied and quite dry with flavours of black cherry, ink, spice, cedar and earth. Fine grained dryish tannins with long aftertaste of black cherry, spice, leather and blackpepper.
