2007 Neudorf Tom's Block Pinot Noir

Matured for 11 months in French oak of which 26% was new. Semi translucent crimson red mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. Aromas of black cherry, anise, violets and toast showing good lift with a hint of stalk as an end note. Generous rich palate flavours of black cherry, plum, anise and toast followed by a very spicy back palate delivering a superb power wave. Velvet smooth tannins with long spicy dark cherry and anise aftertaste. A top example.
